About Project Solomon
Project Solomon is our new sanctuary. It is a house of God where young and old people can come to learn about Christ, and to worship Him in a loving and caring worship environment. It is a vision inspired by God more than 12 years ago.
The church has been experiencing exponential growth which has now necessitated the building of our new home of worship. The church desires to expand its ministry and outreach to the community especially to the hurting, the needy and the ‘lost sheep’. We plan to achieve this by ministering to more people by extending our reach to people.
We believe that LBC was sent by God to reach out and impact those who live in Langa and those in our surrounding communities. We are involved in the following projects:
• Our Hands of Grace Ministry feeds over 50 of families per annum.
• We support safe schools & sport development programs in schools in the Langa Community through Joshua initiative.
• We also host an annual Walk of Faith to highlight pertinent issues faced by women such as violence against women etc.
We therefore invite you to join your faith with our faith by planting a seed (it may be cash donation or non-cash, for example offering your skill (labour) etc.) to help us realize this vision.
Dr & Mrs Zondi,
Senior Pastors.

Frequently Asked
Questions
Our intention is to keep the Sanctuary as a worship space primarily. The worship space will be flexible and will be rented out to community organisations whose purpose fits into our mission. It will also have a cafeteria on ground floor level.
The design caters for a Children’s Church (8 classes) which may double up as a crèche.
Our design has allowed for glass xxxx. Additionally, the design of our building will face west with a view to allow for maximum natural light into the building. Our plan is to encourage waste separation at source, install solar panels and use chairs in our new building.
The proposed development caters for 100 parking bays. Additional parking spaces may be arranged at the neighbouring schools when we host major gatherings. We initially considered building a basement parking but were dissuaded by the high costs of putting in a basement. The church is located within close proximity of both the Langa station (approximately 400 meters) and bus & taxi rank (1 km away). The development will comply with town planning parking ratio requirements according to the applicable building zones.
We are still working on final totals for the anticipated cost of the building, but we anticipate it will cost between R20 –R35 million.
Our members and partners are continuing to pledge towards the building of the new sanctuary. Additionally, our Building team have also finalised a list of seed planting opportunities. The building will be phased according to we can afford in a building. This will include intensifying our fund raising initiative which will go a long way in determining when we can break ground. We will also be looking into other financial options for the church in this period as well. We believe in God’s provision for building this house of worship. Where we anticipate the need for a bank loan, though not favoured approach, we will work on securing favourable terms?
