Dr Sipho Zondi was born and raised in Pietermaritzburg, KZN. He grew up in the home of Christians, as his dad was an ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus. After serving for almost ten years as Deacon and as an assistant pastor, Dr Zondi was called to the Langa Baptist Church in 2010 as the Senior Pastor. Over the past 10 years God has blessed, and the congregation has grown from an average attendance of 300 to become one of the largest Baptist Churches in the country. Today, the church has planted 5 others churches around the country.

Dr Zondi’s heartbeat is that of a pastor. He loves his church, and even through tremendous growth, Langa Baptist Church has maintained its close-knit family atmosphere and its passion for serving people. He also serves as president of Digging Deeper daily devotional online ministry. This ministry reaches hundreds of homes through social media platforms. Dr. Zondi’s preaching and teaching is hallmarked by his uncompromising presentation of the life changing truth of God’s Word that points people to Jesus. He challenges and encourages people to become all that they can be for Christ, emphatic in his belief that “evangelism is incomplete until the evangelized become the evangelists.”
In 2012, under Dr Zondi’s leadership, the church began Open Door School of Ministry for the purpose of equipping those who are called to serve the Lord for ministry. The school has grown to be a tremendous resource to the body of Christ all over the country.

Sipho and his wife, Ninih, have four daughters: Slie, Lerato, Zawadi and Amarachi.
